EPFO beneficiaries to get payment through electronic or digital fund transfer system Press Information Bureau  Government of India Ministry of Labour & Employment 18-May-2017 18:47 IST EPFO beneficiaries to get payment through electronic or digital fund transfer system The Ministry of Labour & Employment vide notification dated 4th May 2017 has provided for electronic or digital fund transfer / payment of EPF benefits, pension disbursement and insurance claim. For this purpose, suitable amendments have been made in all the three social security schemes administered by EPFO (http://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_docs/PDFs/Circulars/Y2017-2018/Manual_Notification_DBT_3004.pdf). Such move is likely to benefit 4.5 crores EPF subscribers and around than 54 lakh pensioners. Now, payments will be made to the beneficiaries through electronic or digital fund transfer system only ensuring quick transfer of funds, easier tracking and reconciliation thereof.

Timely Submission of Pension Claims:Application for grant of pension /gratuity /commutation/revision should be submitted to Head of Office/RO concerned. The application should be submitted well in advance so that it reached the PCDA (P) Allahabad office (through HOO) at least three months before the date of your retirement. Only then it can be ensured that the Pension Payment Order (PPO) reaches you (through your HOO/RO) before your retirement. 2. Reminder /queries to know status of a claim: There is thirty days drill for PCDA (P) office for notification of pension/Family Pension (and 60 days drill for Disability/WIP cases). Therefore once a pension claim is sent to the PCDA (P) office, reminders/FAX /queries regarding that claim should not be sent for atleast 35 days (65 days for Disability /WIP cases) from the date your claim is sent by your RO/HOO to PCDA (P).
